I'm excited to share that the next thrilling theater play I'm directing, EXTREMITIES, will premiere on February 9, 2018. Originally, EXTREMITITES was a powerful off-Broadway play about how a young woman turned the tables when she was attacked in her own home. In the era of #MeToo, our production is also about justice and individual empowerment. As of right now, we only have 19 tickets left, so if you haven't gotten yours yet, get them now: https://extremitiesplay.brownpapertickets.com/ The play will run for 3 weeks, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I'll be directing Snowangel, a deep, dramatic, yet beautiful play about an encounter of a man (customer) and a woman (prostitute). They both lost their loves and yearn to find love again perhaps in each other... The drama was written by Lewis John Carlino whose career included an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and multiple nominations by the Writers Guild of America.
Do you remember the Golden Globes nominated movie with Farrah Fawcett's powerful performance? Before there was a movie, there was a play. I'll be directing it in the beginning of 2018!
NAOMI IN THE LIVING ROOM is a fast-paced and outrageous tour-de-force comedy about a mini family reunion with lots of unexpected requests and one major surprise!
About the author: Christopher Durang (on the right) is a Tony and Obie Awards-winning playwright who has been inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame.
Our play will be performed at the Blackbox Theater of LAVC (Los Angeles Valley College) in Valley Village, CA. And, here is the best part: Tickets are FREE!
I'm excited to announce that I'm currently directing A LIE OF THE MIND by Sam Shepard, a three act play that was described by the New York Times as "a dramatic sensation." This beautiful drama is about two families tied by marriage, as well as about love, dysfunction, and search for meaning and unity. In other words, it's about the human experience.
The premiere will be on December 1, 2016 here in Los Angeles at the Horseshoe Theater - LAVC. Please mark your calendar now.
If you'd like to be invited to the performance, please send me a message via my "Contact" page above. I'm looking forward to having you with us.
